Hi dear readers and fellow writers!
March is here and with Pisces season we should see the end of rainy season here in Lusaka. The rain season that never begun, the rain season that dried up and gave us schorching hot draught. My husband gently says that this is how summer is in Zambia if it does not rain, the October heat continues until winter is back, which is in May/June. And we feel it. It has been over 30 degrees most days since mid January. Over this weekend we got some rains finally and it looks green.
In this heat we spend most days inside. We homeschool at the desk, watch some documentary or series in the sofa and I write, both by my desk and in the sofa or bed. And we read. Yes, you read right btw, homeshooling, will tell you more about that when I actually have anything to say about it.
If there is anything I have learnt after this two and a half years in Zambia, it is that you have to adjust with the circumstances and what is going on in life, and the society. For example we had a cholera outbreak in January that lead to all schools being closed until mid February.
